We believe you can't be healthy without mental health

At Kaiser Permanente, we understand that your mind and body are connected. That’s why our approach to care supports your total health — mind, body, and spirit. In addition to our staff of Permanente psychiatrists, we make many mental health and addiction medicine services and resources available. If you need help with depression, anxiety, addiction and recovery, or other mental or emotional issues that interfere with your daily life, we’re here to help.

Kaiser Permanente psychiatrists are committed to compassionate care

The Psychiatry Department at Kaiser Permanente only brings in the top minds in the field.

Many have been named Top Doctors, and all are board-certified, having attended leading medical schools and furthered their training through fellowships.1 They work closely with our psychotherapists to help our patients overcome the challenges they face and live their best lives.

Options to fit your mental health care needs

We have board-certified psychiatrists in child and adolescent psychiatry and addiction psychiatry, specializing in eating disorders, bipolar disorder, and much more.

Our integrated system prioritizes mental well-being

Permanente psychiatrists collaborate with your primary care physicians, specialists, and pharmacists for your total health

In our system, your psychiatrist works with your entire care team — and with you — to customize your treatment for your mental well-being. They’ll get to know you as a person, not just a patient, in order to deliver the compassionate, personalized care you need. We’re committed to your total health: mind, body, and spirit.

We’re committed to mental health in our communities

When it comes to the mental well-being of our family, friends, and neighbors, we’re all in this together

Unfortunately, many people are dealing with mental health challenges and simply don’t realize it. Identifying that a problem exists is perhaps the most important step in fixing it. That’s why Kaiser Permanente started the Find Your Words campaign — to help people get the support and resources they need to better recognize and address their mental and emotional well-being.
